2 Stabbed at U-31 in North Park

Two men were slashed in the neck Sunday after an argument outside a popular North Park bar.

One man was seriously injured in the fight outside U-31 on University Avenue around 11 p.m. When another man came out of the bar to help, he too was injured.

Investigators say the fight began when two men stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. The men were confronted by two men and a woman and an argument started officials said.

At one point the woman broke a beer bottle, screamed "I'm going to kill you!", and slashed the neck of a 21-year-old man officials said.

A 26-year-old man came out of the bar to help and he was also slashed in the neck with a broken bottle according to police.

The suspect was described as 23 to 26 years old wearing camouflage cargo shorts and a white T-shirt.

Both victims are expected to be survive their injuries.
