A truck flipped from Interstate 8 in Mission Valley and overturned onto Camino del Rio, killing the driver and blocking the surface street for hours Wednesday morning.
The driver was killed when the truck he was driving drove off I-8, overturned, and landed on Camino Del Rio North.
The accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. and ultimately blocked traffic to Camino Del Rio North in both directions, with a full closure at Mission City Parkway.
Traffic on Interstate 8 westbound was also backed up, as many responders were on the scene.
