Truck Leaks Fuel Onto I-5

NBC San Diego

A truck is leaking fuel alongside I-5.

The semi-truck that was leaking fuel after a major accident on Interstate 5 has been removed.

The multi-vehicle collision on I-5 caused traffic delays Wednesday afternoon. Multiple lanes were closed along near the Pacific Highway exit, according to California Highway Patrol.

Two people were pinned inside their vehicles, but firefighters were able to remove them from the cars. Two others were also hurt -- all people reportedly have minor injuries and have been transported to local hospitals.

The semi-truck leaked fuel because of the crash, but a HAZMAT team assisted in cleaning up the spill.
