A large eucalyptus tree fell over and knocked down telephone line and blocked roadways in El Cajon early Friday morning.

The tree fell sometime around 5:45 a.m. in the area where Jamacha Road and Skyline Road meet, according to Heartland Fire officials.

Officials said the line was still active after they fell.

Fire crews responded to the scene and blocked anyone from getting near the area until SDG&E officials arrived.

As of 7:15 a.m., no outages or injuries were reported.
