Three Killed in Barstow Plane Crash

Three people died Sunday when an aircraft en route from John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana to Henderson Executive Airport near Las Vegas crashed in Barstow, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The small plane, believed to be a Cessna 210, crashed and burned around 12:40 p.m. about two and a half miles from Barstow-Daggett Airport, said FAAspokesman Ian Gregor.

"According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, three people on board were killed. There were no survivors,'' Gregor said.

Gregor said the plane may have been heading from John Wayne Airport to Henderson Executive Airport in suburban Las Vegas.
