Carmel Valley’s Kerry Simmonds shares her photos and thoughts on the 2016 Summer Olympics

Carmel Valley native Kerry Simmonds will make her Olympic debut in rowing with the women’s 8 boat Monday in Rio.

The Americans have won ten consecutive World and Olympic titles in the event, making them one of the most dominating teams in any sport across the world.

This year, the women's 8 will have several new faces rowing in Rio, including Simmonds.
