The Star of India will be docked again along the Embarcadero this weekend.

The Star of India is coming home.  It's been away three, long weeks getting a complete make-over in dry dock but is expected to be towed back to its familiar spot along the San Diego bay front during the noon hour on Friday, September 11.  Can you think of a better reason to party?  The San Diego Maritime Museum can't so they're throwing one and you're invited.

The 146-year old square-rigger is expected to tie up next to Anthony's by 12:30 or so and once she's secure, "let the party begin."  There will be food, drinks, flags and even some live music supplied by the U.S. Navy Band.  The festivities get underway at 10:00 AM if you want to arrive early and there will be special prices for landlubbers and sailors alike.
