Two brazen teenagers robbed a taxi cab driver at gunpoint in San Diego’s Oak Park area Wednesday night, the San Diego Police Department confirmed.

The alleged robbery happened just after 11 p.m. in the 100 block of G Street.

Police say two teens -- a boy and girl both between the ages of 15 and 17 years old – were riding in a taxi. When they arrived at their destination, the teenage girl allegedly threatened the driver at gunpoint and demanded money.

The taxi driver complied, and the teens fled on foot with cash. The driver was not injured.

Police say the teenage boy was wearing a black jacket and black jeans at the time of the robbery, while the girl – described as having a medium to heavy-set build -- was wearing a grey T-shirt and jeans.

The robbery is under investigation.
