Teen Fatally Shot in Oceanside
Same neighborhood experienced a shooting earlier this month

A 17-year-old was shot to death in an Oceanside neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Oceanside police responded to calls of a gun shot heard nearby at about 2 a.m Sunday. When they arrived to the scene in the 400 block of Grant St, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medics treated the victim at the scene and later air-lifted him to Scripps Hospital. He died from his wounds shortly after, police said.
A suspect has not yet been identified. The teen's name has not yet been release, as authorities are still in the process of notifying his family.
A shooting ocurred in the same neighborhood just over a week ago. Police do not know yet if the two shootings are related.
