A San Diegan taxi driver was unharmed as he was robbed by three suspects in the Emerald Hills area early Sunday morning, according to San Diego police.

Police reported that two females and one male approached the taxi driver's car in the 5100 block of Hilltop Drive just after 3 a.m.

One of the suspects pointed a pistol at the man and demanded he hand over cash, said Officer David Stafford.

After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the trio fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim uninjured, Stafford said.

The SDPD Robbery is investigating.
