The city of El Cajon will now reward citizens who have information about graffiti vandals.

In the past year, there have been about 4,000 incidents of graffiti reported in El Cajon, according to officials.

Now, the city has teamed up with the El Cajon Community Development Corporation and Crime Stoppers to create the El Cajon Tagger Tip Line. The program will offer cash rewards of up to $2,000 to people who provide information that leads to a graffiti-related arrest.

People with information are asked to call the tip line at 888-580-8477.
