Suspicious Cat Deaths on Same Street

One cat was cut in half



    Shirley Knox's cat, Stormy. Knox said she found her pet dead on June 8 in her yard.

    The deaths of at least two cats are being investigated in an Oceanside neighborhood. One cat was cut in half, according to the North County Times.

    Shirley Knox found “Stormy's” body, with its internal organs gone, on the side of her house on Morningside Drive on Thursday morning, the paper reported. She filed a police report and called the humane society to investigate the death, which she said could not have been inflicted by another animal.

    A second cat was found dead on the same street on June 21, Humane Society spokesperson Candice Eley told the paper.

    The agency and is working with the Oceanside Police Department on the investigation.
