Suspected Drunk Driver Plows Into Home

NBC San Diego

A suspected drunk driver allegedly lost control, slammed into an Oak Park home and then fled to her home, which was down the street, according to firefighters.

Duy Nguyen says he was at work when his mother-in-law called him to tell him someone had driven into his home Wednesday on Lynn Street in Oak Park.

“My parents were eating lunch right next to the room where it happened,” said Nguyen. “They came out here and saw the lady down the street, running away.”

Neighbors and work crews saw the driver leave the crash site and go into her house, which was nearby, police said.

The woman could face several charges, including DUI and leaving the scene.

No one was injured.
