Fire Damaged Home in Suspected Arson Case in Pacific Beach

This alleged arson fire caused an estimated $250,000 in damages

A fire damaged a Pacific Beach home Monday morning in an alleged arson case, confirmed San Diego Fire Rescue (SDFD).

Fire investigators have verified indications of arson at the scene, said SDFD Captain Shannon Mueller. The investigation is still ongoing at the 5000 block of Soledad Road, near Los Altos Road.

Flames broke out around 12:20 a.m., starting on the first level and then spreading to the attic, said SDFD Spokeswoman Monica Munoz. The incident happened at a two-story, single-family home.

The suspected arson fire caused an estimated $250,000 in damages, said Mueller. There weren't any residents home at the time of the fire.

Nobody was injured in the flames. No further information was immediately available.
