Few new details were revealed Monday when the man accused of stabbing a fellow passenger in the neck on a Greyhound bus appeared in a San Diego courtroom.
Gilbert Dominguez, 35, faces an attempted murder charge for the stabbing and an identity theft charge in an unrelated case.
He made no comment when he appeared before a judge Monday. Through his attorney, Dominguez entered a not guilty plea to criminal charges in connection with the July 11 stabbing.
The defendant is accused of stabbing a fellow passenger multiple times aboard a bus traveling from San Ysidro to Oceanside.
The driver of the bus attempted to intervene in the attack and pulled over to the side of Interstate 5 near Nobel Drive.
The 27-year-old stabbing victim survived his injuries.
At the time of his arrest Wednesday, Dominguez was wanted on a warrant according to police. No details were released regarding the reason behind the warrant.

If convicted of all chargers, Dominguez faces life in prison.
