A 24-year-old man was in custody Sunday after Sheriff's deputies said he used the stem of a wine glass to stab three people during an attack in Spring Valley on Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies from the Lemon Grove station responded a stabbing report at a home in the 9300 block of Montemar Drive around 1 a.m., according to detective Jacob Klepach.

When deputies arrived to the scene they found three people with various slash wounds, Klepach said.

After an initial investigation, it was determined that all three victims had been stabbed with the stem of a wine glass and each of them were transported to an area hospital.
