Suspect Robs Pharmacy in Pacific Beach

Suspect demanded Oxycontin

A man claiming to have a gun robbed a pharmacy inside a grocery store in Pacific Beach, Sunday afternoon, according to San Diego police.

The suspect entered a Ralph’s grocery store at 4315 Mission Blvd sometime after 10 a.m., police said.

Once inside the suspect, said to be in his 50s, went up to the pharmacy counter of the store and told the pharmacist working that he had a gun.

At no point during the robbery did the pharmacist see the weapon, police said.

The suspect demanded before running out of the store through the produce section, police said.

It was not immediately known if he got away with any of the drug.

The man was described as being medium build and wearing a black baseball cap and a tank top with colored pants.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
