A chainsaw was the primary weapon in an assault on Wednesday afternoon, according to sheriff's deputies.
Shortly before 5 p.m., officials responded to an assault call at the 8600-block of Winter Gardens Boulevard in Lakeside. Medics were requested at the scene for an injured victim.
The victim's injuries are unknown and the suspect has fled the area.
Deputies are investigating the incident. No further information has been released.
