A one-acre brush fire sparked in the Stockton area Wednesday according to officials.

San Diego fire officials said the fire began near the trolley tracks at 34th Street and J Street around 4:05 p.m.

Since the fire burned near the tracks, MTS was also notified. Officials initially said there could be possible trolley delays.

Officials said no structures near the brush fire area were threatened.

As of 4:35 p.m., firefighters said they had knocked down the fire. No injuries were reported.

CHP provided traffic control on southbound State Route 15 at southbound SR-94 near the fire area. Traffic came to a crawl as crews worked to clean up.
