Stockton Pursuit Ends in Crash

Foggy conditions prevented authorities from using a helicopter to locate the suspect

San Diego police are looking for a suspect who led them on a chase in the Stockton neighborhood Wednesday night.

According to officials, it all started around 10 p.m. when police tried to pull over a car that had been reported stolen. The car took off and eventually crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Imperial Avenue and 33rd Street.

Police say the suspect escaped into a canyon. As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, the suspect was still on the loose. Authorities called in a K-9 unit, but were unable to use a search helicopter because of the foggy conditions.

No suspect description was available.
