A man stung by a stingray in Pacific Beach was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital, officials said.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and San Diego Lifeguards got the call around 1 p.m.
The man was at Crystal Pier when he was stung.
Lifeguards have increased their staffing because more people are heading down to the beach as temperatures rise.
