State Unveils Its Biggest Tax Cheats

No one would mistake John Chiang with Santa Claus.

And that's a good thing because the California state controller has a list that nobody wants to be on.

Tuesday he posted his quarterly list of California's biggest sales and use tax delinquents online. Several Bay Area companies are included on the site.

Chiang is required by state law to make the list available every three months to try and shame tax dodgers into paying.

The controller's office said it has recovered about $5.2 million from 37 different tax payers since making the list public began.

Check out the full list on Chiang's site.
