Spa, New Businesses Open at Lindbergh Field

The local airport’s first spa, along with a new The Sharper Image store, are among four new businesses scheduled to open July 31 at San Diego International Airport.

A statement from San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, which oversees the facility, said the new shops in Terminal 2 East also include InMotion Entertainment, which sells headphones, cameras, tablets and related devices; and Old Town News & Market, a locally themed retail store and newsstand.

Be Relax Spa sells cosmetic products and on-site health services and beauty treatments, with The Sharper Image offering unusual, tech-oriented gifts and accessories.

The openings will bring the airport’s recently opened stores and eateries to 20, as the facility adds to its concessions offerings with more locally-themed merchants and restaurants.

Airport officials said when all planned new businesses are up and running by March 2014, the total selection will have grown from 55 to 87 businesses.
