Construction on Otay Lakes Road will cause delays and closures of entrances to Southwestern College throughout the summer.
Chula Vista's expansion of Otay Lakes Road could cause delays between June 17 and Aug. 3. Traffic will be rerouted because of the construction, according to a press release from the college.
Specifically, the Elmhurst Street entrance will be completely closed to pedestrians, bicycles and vehicles between June 17 and July 2. The Gotham Street entrance will be completely closed from July 2 to July 17. The Otay Lakes Road entrance on the south end of campus will be closed from July 18 to Aug. 3.
All MTS bus routes will continue as scheduled but will not be entering the college campus. Instead, the bus route will stop on Otay Lakes Road during construction.
