Seaworld's Aquatica San Diego to Open June 1: Report

The water park formerly known as Knott's Soak City will open for the summer under new management

The renovated water park expected to bring Seaworld San Diego animals and other new water features to the South Bay is just weeks from opening its doors.

The San Diego Business Journal reports that the company has announced a June 1 opening day for Aquatica San Diego, formerly known as Knott’s Soak City.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment announced the purchase of the water park late last year and will redesign the space to look like its Aquatica parks in Orlando and San Antonio.

Park goers will see animals like flamingos and fresh water turtles according to the San Diego Business Journal.

Aquatica San Diego will be located at 2042 Otay Valley Rd. in Chula Vista, Calif.
