Shots Fired at Border

Customs and Border Protection agents opened fire on an unidentified person Thursday evening, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at the border at the pedestrian walk-through at the San Ysidro port of entry.

One victim had gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital. Two people were transported with minory injuries, while three were treated and released at the scene. 

No agents were injured.

CBP temporarily suspended processing northbound pedestrian travelers at San Ysidro following the incident.
