Shotgun-Toting Suspects Sought in Poway Robbery

Suspect racked a round into the weapon as he walked through the door

Two people, one armed with a pump-action shotgun, robbed a store in Poway two weeks ago and law enforcement officers are asking for the public’s help to identify them.

The suspects entered the Old Poway Market on Midland Road just before 10 p.m. on Nov. 1 and stole thousands of dollars in cash and personal checks.

Officials said a male suspect was carrying what looked like a black pump-action shotgun. He racked a round into the weapon as he walked through the door then ordered two employees to get down on the floor.

A second suspect, possibly a woman, went behind the counter and took a blue deposit bag.

A video surveillance camera captured images of the two robbery suspects along with their dark vehicle that drove away from the store heading northbound on Midland Road.
