Sex Offender Caught in SD

A convicted sex offender who is wanted in Montana for violating parole, will be arraigned in San Diego on Monday.

US Marshalls found 25-year-old Christopher Earl Dustrude late Saturday morning outside the county psychiatric hospital on Rosecrans street.

Authorities have searching for Dustrude for some time. Dustrude was out of jail waiting to be sentenced for failing to notify authorities he changed his address.

Dustrude left Montana bound for Nevada. When U.S. Marshalls got wind of him in Nevada, they found he had boarded a bus headed to Carlsbad.

Authorities say  Dustrude is a dangerous predator.

When he was 17 in 2004, he pleaded guilty to two sexual assault counts in Montana. The victims were relatives, including a nine-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy.
