Missing Stepdad, Teen Found in San Diego

A Midwestern girl and her stepfather were located on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The white 2003 Ford Expedition that Patrick Porter and the 16-year-old from Overland Park, Kansas, were traveling in was located in San Diego County on Wednesday, according to a spokesman from the Orange County Sheriff's Department, which was aiding in the search for the pair. Later in the day, investigators said the pair had been found at the Dolphin Encounter inside SeaWorld.

The FBI planned on releasing a statement later in the evening.

Officials, who were tipped off that the missing people were somewhere in the Newport Beach or Huntington Beach, said they thought the teen could possibly be in danger and had issued an Amber Alert, which was canceled on Tuesday after the vehicle was found.

A missing person report was filed on the girl on Thursday, according to investigators.
