The ramp onto the northbound Interstate 15 is closed due to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
The accident occurred at Scripps Poway Pkwy. at about 6:50 a.m. Friday. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with a severely injured leg, a San Diego Police Department watch commander said.
Traffic going east on Mercy Rd. is being detoured to south I-15 and westbound drivers are being turned around at Scripps Highland Dr.
Roads are expected to be congested until about 10 a.m.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
