San Diego County sheriff's deputies responded to the report of a suspicious male near a school in Lakeside.

Lemon Crest Elementary School was put on lockdown as of 11 a.m. according to a sheriff’s department spokesperson.

A law enforcement helicopter was circling the area and could be heard informing residents to stay inside their homes and buildings.

Before 12:30 p.m, the lockdown was lifted and students were reunited with their parents.

No injuries have been reported.
