Save Our Bolts Movement Invades Petco Park

The Padres are working with Chargers fans to keep Chargers in San Diego

The current Padres ownership group has been vocal about its support of keeping the Chargers in San Diego. On Monday night against the Diamondbacks, they're proving again how serious they are.

The Padres have given the "Save Our Bolts" movement the go-ahead to hold an event at Monday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, even offering discounted tickets to people who show support for the Chargers not leaving for Los Angeles (or anywhere else, for that matter).

According to the Save Our Bolts website, the event is designed "To send a message to the NFL that WE LOVE OUR SAN DIEGO TEAMS. Fans are encouraged to wear POWDER BLUE along with their favorite Padres gear."

A pre-game rally is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Petco Park Tailgate Parking Lot (located at the corner of K and Park just east of the stadium). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

Since we're on the subject of stadiums, NBC 7's Derek Togerson recently discussed the issue with Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget, who spent his off-season traveling abroad and came home to get an update on the progress. Liuget offered a player's perspective on what it's like to play at The Q ... then play at some of the NFL's newer facilities.

Corey Liuget came back from international travel to find a big problem with his home stadium.
