The two neighbors began arguing at about 6 p.m. Monday near homes on Prospect Ave. in Santee, according to an official with the San Diego Sheriff's Department.
One of the neighbors reportedly hit the other on the head with a board. The other responded by stabbing his assailant.
Both were transported to the hospital. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.
