With rain and high surf forecast for Friday, San Diego Fire-Rescue officials say they’ll have sandbags available for residents and businesses hoping to keep their property safe from flooding.
The sandbags are available at every San Diego fire station as well as lifeguard stations in Ocean Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla Shores and Pacific Beach.
Officials say residents and business owners are limited to 10 sandbags a piece and can only pick them up when crews are present.
While fire stations will have sandbags, they won’t have just sand available, but officials say people in beach areas may take sand.
