An intense fire damaged a San Marcos woodworking business Tuesday.
The fire started just before 2 a.m. at Architectural Millwork Solutions Incorporated on Armorlite Drive.
When firefighters arrived, flames were breaking through the roof of the warehouse.
Crews forced their way into the building by cutting through the metal door.
There was a lot of lumber in the building which made the fire a challenge.
Owner Ricardo Alcantara later told NBC 7 that the business, which has been open since 1986, was a total loss.
"Everything that's here on the floor is totally gone," he said.

The fire forced 10 employees there at the time home for the day. Alcantara said he hopes to move into a new, temporary location as he rebuilds.
A cause of the fire has not yet been determine, though fire investigators say it appears to be accidental.
