Local Mega Mlillions Winner Comes Forward

Man matched five of the six Mega Millions numbers, winning $227,955

One of the two local winners who matched five of the six Mega Millions numbers last Friday has finally come forward to claim his prize.

NBCSanDiego has learned that a man who bought a winning ticket at the First and Ivy Market in Bankers Hill has come forward, but personal details about him – such as his name and age -- remain unconfirmed.

The second local ticket that matched five of the six  magic numbers was sold at Scripps Arco on Scripps Summit Drive, but so far, that winner has not publicly surfaced.

According to a California Lotto statement released Saturday, the 29 tickets in California that matched five of the six Mega Millions numbers are each worth $227,955.
