San Diego Woman Sexually Assaulted While She Slept: SDPD

A strange man entered the woman's home through the front door, police sayy

A San Diego woman was sexually assaulted while she slept Sunday morning, San Diego police say.

The attack was reported just after 3 a.m. at an apartment complex on Hancock Street, west of Interstate 5 and north of Washington Street.

A 25-year-old woman was sleeping in her bedroom when a strange man entered the unit through her front door, police said.

She told police she awoke to the man sexually assaulting her. Soon after, the man ran out of the front door and fled.

San Diego police sex crimes investigators are looking into the attack. The suspect was described as in his 20s with a muscular build, standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and wearing a blue polo shirt and gray or denim shorts.
