San Diego Boy Impaled by Crossbow

Victim hit on torso and suffered non-life threatening injuries

A boy was shot by a crossbow in Linda Vista yesterday, according to San Diego Police officials.

Two boys were throwing rocks at a black RAV-4 and one of the vehicle occupants responded by firing a crossbow at one of the juveniles, hitting him on the right side of his torso.

The car fled the scene and headed southbound on Linda Vista Road.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury. There is no word on his condition.

Police are investigating the incident and classified it as an assault with a deadly weapon. No one has been arrested.
