The San Diego International Airport gives an insight into the new airport rental car center as construction nears the halfway mark of completion.

According to the airport, construction contracts have totaled $155 million and small businesses have been awarded $60 million. Nearly 6,000 workers have also been employed for the project.

The entire project is expected to cost $316 million. The airport is helping with bid opportunities and tailoring package sizes in order to encourage and help facilitate local and small business participation.
