San Diego may have miles of coastline and some of the best weather in the nation. But apparently it also has some vicious dogs that bite postal workers.
The United States Postal Service released its list of top cities for dog attacks on postal workers.
San Diego was tied at number two with Columbus, OH after 45 dog attacks were reported last year.

“We often hear two comments relating to the Postal Service, ‘the check’s in the mail,’ and ‘don’t worry, my dog won’t bite’. Given the right circumstances, any dog can bite. Dog attacks are a nationwide issue and not just a postal problem,” said Matthew Lopez, Houston Postmaster.
5,669 postal employees were attacked in more than 1,400 cities last year, according to the postal service.
“Working with animal behavior experts, we’ve developed tips to avoid dog attacks, and for dog owners, tips for practicing responsible pet ownership,” said Lopez.
