San Diegans Hit Registrar for Early Voting

Early voting hours at the Kearney Mesa office are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Local voters headed to the Registrar of Voters office Saturday to cast their early ballot in the presidential election.

The Registrar of Voters office -- located at 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I, in Kearny Mesa – will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for special early voting hours.

Poll workers said they expect about 1,000 San Diegans to take advantage of early voting and come by Saturday.

"We offer Saturday hours because we know people are busy and voting on Election Day Tuesday may not be convenient," said County of San Diego Registrar of Voters Deborah Seiler.

In addition, a drop-off location for mail-in ballots is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Monday at the lower parking lot outside the Registrar’s office. Election Day hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Registrar of Voters office is also taking calls Saturday until 5 p.m. Those with questions can call (858) 565-5800.
