A SWAT team raided an Escondido house early Monday morning, awaking neighbors with the sound and flash of stun grenades.
Escondido Police officers were serving a search warrant at the house on the 900 block of West 11 Ave. at about 5:30 a.m., according to the North County Times.
It is unclear at this time what the team was seeking.
No one was injured in the raid, but there were many children and adults inside the home. Several of the people inside the house had been detained although no one was formally arrested or booked as of noon Monday.
The stun grenades were used as a distraction, a spokesperson said. They emitted a loud flash and bang, witnesses said.
