“Twilight” Stars Immortalized at Grauman's Chinese Theatre

The ceremony was 15 days before the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1"

"Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were immortalized in cement Thursday in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Fans gathered near the theatre early Thursday for the 10 a.m. ceremony, counting down the days -- 15 to be exact -- until the release of the series' fourth film, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1."

"Thank you guys so much, this is such an incredible honor," Pattinson said. "It's kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time, and it's all down to you guys to drive this franchise forward."

The ceremony meant traffic delays Thursday morning on Hollywood Boulevard near Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Hollywood Boulevard was closed between Orange Drive and Highland Avenue into Thursday afternoon.

The film is the next-to-last intallment of the series. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2'' is scheduled to be released Nov. 16, 2012.

The first three films have grossed more than $1.8 billion at box offices around the world.
