Romney Shares Easter in La Jolla with Secret Service

Secret service restricted access to neighborhood

Secret service agents swarmed a La Jolla Neighborhood this past Easter Sunday to accomodate presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.

According to reporters from our media partner the La Jolla Light, Romney's home on Dunemere Dr. in La Jolla was limited to guests, residents and scheduled deliveries during the weekend.

It's a sign that the former Massachusetts governor is already gearing up for his likely nomination after Santorum announced his departure Tuesday.

Romney bought the home about four years ago. The home was once owned by former San Diego Mayor Maureen O'Connor and her husband.

Recent criticism has targeted the rennovations planned at the Romney home.

β€œMany of us live in this neighborhood and it's our home,” La Jolla resident Randy Clark told NBC in 2011. β€œSo this is a tear down and a much bigger home for someone that is only a part time resident.”
