An accident near a Navy housing area in Paradise Hills involved a car and a water hydrant around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
As a result of the crash, water crews had to turn off water service to residents in the area of Pelican Hill Road, Oriskany Road and Bairoko Drive, according to police.
Nearby Perry Elementary School is closed until further notice because of this incident.
