Police at the scene of a hit-and-run accident in August which prosecutors allege was prompted by an affair.

A man accused of running down a bicyclist -- allegedly over an affair -- has been ordered to stand trial.

Marcos Garcia Jeronimo, 22, is charged with voluntary and vehicular manslaughter connection with the Aug. 23 death of Marcelo Bolom in Mira Mesa.  The victim was hit and dragged more than 500 feet.  Jeronimo fled the scene but turned himself in three days later, officials said.

According to prosecutors, Bolom was run down over an alleged affair with the defendant's younger brother's wife.  Jeronimo could face up to 12 years in prison if convicted.  He's being held on $1 million bail.
