A school principal in Oceanside pleads not guilty to major theft charges.
Paulette Thompson was formally charged Wednesday at her arraignment. She's accused of stealing money from the parent-teacher organizations of two schools where she worked as a principal.
Thompson has been on leave from her job at Reynolds Elementary since February. Before that, she was principal at San Luis Rey Elementary School.
Thompson is free on her own recognizance and will be back in court in December for a preliminary hearing.
