In an effort to hide like a labrador under the living room curtains, a man attempts to sneak into the U.S. undetected at the Otay Mesa port of entry Thursday.
Agents arrested the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt after they discovered a man hidden inside the speaker box in the car’s trunk.
The driver, a 45-year old man from Covina, Calif. presented his U.S. passport to the agent who then flagged the car to move to a secondary inspection.
While searching the car, agents said they found a 37-year old man curled up in a large speaker box in the trunk of the vehicle, without any documents allowing his entry into the U.S.
The man was held as a material witness in the prosecution case and handed over to the U.S. Marshals Service.
