Power Restored for SDSU Dorm Residents

Power has been restored for residents living inside dorms at San Diego State after an outage occurred over night Friday, according to school officials.

The incident happened at the University Towers, just as students prepared to move in and start school on Monday.

Residents were allowed back into the building Saturday afternoon and the cause of the outage was attributed to an electrical failure.

A generator was brought in order to supply power to the building, officials said in a media release.

Though the power was restored, residents were without air conditioning Sunday afternoon, which officials said would be operational by Tuesday.

No injuries were reported during the outage.
