Power Out in Lakeside After Car Crash

    Customers in Lakeside experienced a power outage after a car slammed into a power pole Tuesday night.

    About 1500 customers were without power when the car hit the power pole on El Nopal and Riverford Road at about 5:40 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

    Medics responded to the driver of the car, who sustained minor injuries in the crash. No other people were injured.

    The pole could be seen tilted over and damaged.

    Power was restored by 7 p.m., according to SDG&E.
